dinner @ el cerdo, changkat bkt bintang

3 little pigs on the menu

Ribs-rm68. U will need to use your hands to eat this. Really liked the mango salad at the side

Spaghetti with pork meatballs. Very yummy dish as the pork meatballs were of high quality

d'italiane kitchen, jaya 33

Duck aglio olio - rm29.90

Fried gnocchi - rm19.90. Fried potato with turkey bits. Very good!!

Belgian waffle with ice cream. Not what I expected. It's just like the regular waffle at a&w

lunch @ grand imperial kitchen, empire shopping gallery

Decided to give this place a try as we believe it's under the grand imperial group. But they offer quick dishes and dim sum as compared to their parent that serves fine dining Chinese cuisine

Fried rice with anchovies and fried egg - rm13.30. The lunch set came with a drink (either soya bean or grass jelly). This dish was garnished with a lot of crispy anchovies. But it was too salty as the fried rice was already salty. So when taken together with the anchovies, it's really too salty

La mian soup with preserved vegetables and pork strips - rm13.30. This set also came with either a glass of soya bean or grass jelly drink. This dish was also quite salty but not as bad as the fried rice.

spaghetti grill, mid valley

Spicy dory fish panini - rm11.50. The lunch set came with refillable soft drinks. The panini was freshly toasted n I really liked the salad in the sandwich. Overall value for money considering the portion and the restaurant's ambience.

poon kee desserts, bandar puteri puchong

Decided to stop by at this shop as the soya bean stall was closed for the day. It's no surprise that this shop was crowded as they offer a wide variety of desserts at reasonable prices. Ordered the wheat barley and black glutinous rice desserts priced at rm2.60 each. I'd say that the desserts were better than the average desserts u get at pasar malam and dessert shops in ss2. Furthermore they serve curry Chee Cheong fun n deep fried popiah which are fried as you order. Will drop by again to try it's chee Cheong fun next time

lunch @ tengkat tong shin char kuey teow

Cute logo of the owners greets diners at the shop

Large char kuey teow+mee - rm6.50. Lives up to its name as one of the best ckt in kl. The noodles are topped with crispy slices of Chinese sausage n 2 large prawns. It's not easy to find such traditional tasting ckt nowadays so this place is highly recommended!

2 rolls of popiah - rm3.60. The difference in this popiah is that the sweet sauce n chilli sauce are spread on top of the popiah rather than inside the popiah. However the taste was below expectations as the filling was cold n it lacked the crunchiness of cucumber strips

lunch @ esquire kitchen, mid valley

Pork chop with rice - rm10.90. Eating this was a bad experience cos the pork chop dropped on my dress! Anyway back to the dish, I find the sauce too salty n the pork chop over-fried making it less tender than it should

Roast chicken rice.

Pork balls - rm5 for 5 pieces. There's nothing special about this dish. Tastes just like any other pork balls at other places
